Here, on stage, following on from the recording Rives marocaines, Titi Robin continues his collaboration with the very talented young Gnawa musician El Mehdi Nassouli, who is also heir to a strong South-Moroccan Berber culture. Together with the faithful Ze Luis Nascimento and Francis Varis, they share a moving musical and human complicity in compositions by Titi and fine improvisations by the quartet. Some of the pieces resulting from their work together – “Sahara”, for instance – are references stemming from the Rives project.
